As part of Paddle UK’s Athlete Development Framework (ADF), the Physical Preparation resource gives detailed strength and conditioning programmes for athletes at different stages of development. To support your training sessions, each primary movement pattern in the programmes is demonstrated with a corresponding video.

Stages 1 to 3 of physical development are progressive in nature, starting with stage 1, for athletes under 14 years of age, focusing on agility, balance and coordination and progressing to stage 3, for athletes over 16, where training is more focused on accumulating volume and intensity.

There are multiple exercise programmes for each stage, with video guides to explain the key form considerations for each movement pattern.
