British Canoeing Awarding Body is pleased to announce that a new member will be joining the BCAB Committee in the New Year. Katy Joy is presently the Head of Teacher Training and Community Learning at a College of Further Education and is the cross-college lead for the Adult’s Curriculum.
Currently in the process of completing her Doctorate in Education, focussing on Outdoor and Adventure Education, Katy has an understanding of the role of NGBs, especially in the work that practitioners take in the OAE field. Katy also holds a number of BCAB qualifications and awards and has in-depth knowledge of the structure of our qualifications.
BCAB is confident that Katy will be a valuable asset to the work of the BCAB Committee and looks forward to welcoming her to the team.
