Assessing Competence in the Paddlesport Environment

This eLearning is useful for anyone who assesses people, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been doing it for a while. It looks at the assessing process, as well as the standardisation of assessment across awards and qualifications. This takes around two and a half hours to complete.

This eLearning is useful for anyone who assesses people, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been doing it for a while. It looks at the assessing process, as well as the standardisation of assessment across awards and qualifications. This takes around two and a half hours to complete.

The Assessing Competence in the Paddlesport Environment eLearning includes modules on:

  • assessment principles, including types of assessment
  • roles and responsibilities 
  • the assessment process, including methods and quality assurance
  • assessment criteria
  • feedback, including action planning

Taking time for reflection between modules is encouraged.

There is also a final knowledge check module at the end of the eLearning, with a passmark of 80%.

You earn 10 CPD points by completing this British Canoeing Awarding Body eLearning. These will be added to your National Association record after successful completion.
