This two-module one-hour British Canoeing Awarding Body eLearning ensures that providers of the Go Paddling Paddle Safer course have the key information and resources they need to be able to deliver the course. Please note that anyone wanting to provide the Paddle Safer course will need to take this eLearning.

This British Canoeing Awarding Body eLearning supports those planning to deliver the Go Paddling Paddle Safer Course, which gives new and novice paddlers the opportunity to develop their safety skills when taking to the water. Any British Canoeing Awarding Body Instructor, Coach, Leader or Guide can deliver this practical 2-hour course if they complete this Paddle Safer Provider eLearning and meet the Update Scheme requirements.  

In brief, this one-hour eLearning gives an overview of the Paddle Safer course, and explores its content as well as important delivery considerations.

Module one focuses on:

  • Background to the course and its ethos
  • Provider requirements
  • Certification
  • Course Delivery and structure

Module two explores the content of each course module and explains key delivery considerations relating to this. It also provides the session plans for each module.

You earn 5 CPD points by completing this eLearning. These will be added to your National Association record after completion.
