After the Australian Open we spent some time with 2008 Olympian and 2009 European Champion Daniele Molmenti shooting a video about upstream gates.
We covered 4 different techniques on the flat and wildwater, from different angles, in normal speed and slow motion. Also shares Daniele some of his insights and experiences with us. The video does not pretend to show the one and only truth. What it does however is showing how one particular top athlete looks at taking upstream gates. We think that especially juniors can obtain some insights from this video and secondly it might trigger a constructive and healthy dialogue between athletes and coaches on You Tube.
